Jogjakarta : POP! Hotel Timoho, Bakpia Kurniasari, Lippo Plaza, Waroeng SS, Krisna’s wedding

8 July 2017. I flew from CGK to JOG at around 1 pm. When I arrived at JOG, I headed directly toward POP! Hotel Timoho (on Jl. Ipda Tut Harsono No.11, Muja Muju, Umbulharjo, Jogjakarta) to check in.

My room is on the 6th floor. I occupied the room along with my friend, Kiki. But we flew on different flights (Kiki arrived before me). When I reached JOG, Kiki was in Prambanan. I didn’t catch her up, because Jogja was utterly hot at the time, so that I decided to move directly to the hotel.

In jogjakarta, congestion is everywhere, almost similar to Jakarta, I think…. Kiki spent a lot of time to get to the hotel, therefore I decided to go to Bakpia Kurniasari (on Jalan Glagahsari No.91C, Warungboto, Umbulharjo, Jogjakarta) while waited for Kiki to arrive. I also intended to buy Wahyu Austin’s cheese roll, but 3 boxes of Bakpia Kurniasari were heavy enough for me to carry 😦

Finally, Kiki got to the hotel yay! After we had cleaned ourselves up, taken a rest for a while, and prayed, we headed to Lippo Plaza (on Jl. Laksda Adisucipto No. 32-34, Demangan, Gondokusuman, Jogjakarta), because Kiki had to buy some things that she realized she forgot to bring hehe.

Next, we went to Waroeng SS (on Jl Veteran No 122, Umbulharjo, Jogjakarta) for dinner. I intended to have Sate Klathak Pak Bari afterwards, but unfortunately Kiki don’t eat goat meat aaaa :”””’) thus, I canceled such plan…….

Waroeng SS

they costed us < IDR100K :9

We were delightfully full afterwards Alhamdulillah, hence we returned to the hotel, took a shower, prayed, watched tv, and had chit-chat, before we slept~

9 July 2017. We slept again after prayed Subuh, and eventually woke up at around 8 am. Then, we continued the chit-chat and watched tv until around 9.30. After we had taken a bath, we put makeup on, got dressed, packed our belongings, and check out. But, we still left the luggage at the reception desk.

Next, we headed to Jl. Siliran Lor, Panembahan, Kraton, Yogyakarta, to attend Krisna’s wedding. When we reached the venue, Krisna and his wife were doing sungkeman (an emotional moment where the bride and the groom ask blessing by kneel down in front of their parents).

No longer after, the reception was commenced, we queued to give handshake to Krisna and his wife, had lunch, took some photos, then we returned to the hotel to remove the makeup and change into casual look, because we will heading to Jakarta afterwards.

Ratu Busana – Pasar Sunan Giri (part 3)

31 August 2016. I would be one of the bridesmaids for Eta’s wedding day. Thus, I came to Ratu Busana – Pasar Sunan Giri, Rawamangun in order to turn the fabric from Eta into a wiron skirt. Other bridesmaids (Fika, Dea, Rani, Mba Hana, Manda, Ndai) and I (my gang in the office –> Princess Jombs gang wkwk) agreed to wear a black top and grey veil also on the day 🙂

Ratu Busana promised me to finish it in a week yippieeee~ It costed me 175K, I gave them 50K for a down payment, and will pay the rest (125K) next week.

1 week later……….. I visited Ratu Busana once more. When Mbaknya gave me my wiron skirt, I believe my reaction to it is just like………….. Meh. I. Don’t. Like. It. *shocked* On the other hand, I have to do the fitting things, and it turned out that the skirt fits me perfectly in a matter of size, but I don’t like the style at all hiks~

I paid 125K to them, went home by Uber, got my room, and felt so miserable. I looked to my skirt once again, and felt more awful. Y they had to make it into a pencil skirt (I don’t ask for it!), because it resulted a big-horrific-black triangle on front-side 😦

Therefore, I turned on tv, and watched CSI, so that I will forget my sadness quickly. After a couple of CSI episodes, I texted Yolan and Seba, tell em ’bout my problem. But, their reaction really surprised me, they said my skirt looks good 😀 OK, I’m a bit happy currently yay!

20160908_174640 20160908_174703

*what a coincidence! my skirt matched my bed sheet!* the tumpal yielded a big-horrific-black triangle on front-side | back-side *is it good? I still can’t believe haha*

17 September 2016. The day!!!! Early morning, I woke up, salat subh, took a shower, had breakfast, wore my soft contact lenses, and put on the make up. Then, I wore my failed skirt, black top, grey veil, black wedges, and the last but not the least I grabbed my black clutch also. We took a lot of photos while waited for Fika to pick us up from the hotel to the venue *I will enclose those photos in my next post 😉

Oyaa apparently, a friend of mine also turned her fabric from Eta into a wiron skirt. Buuut, the tailor didn’t make it into a pencil skirt. I really envy her when I looked her skirt in the closet. But, after we all wore our monochrome uniforms, the truth revealed –> my wiron skirt looked like a perfect wiron skirt, on the contrary it seemed like it’s unclear whether it is a wiron skirt or not for my friend’s hmmmm.

Dea, Rani, Mba Hana, Manda, Sabi, Ndai @ Chara Hotel, Bandung. A friend of mine in her wiron skirt (Manda) stood right next to me, but I think such photo don’t show the difference between both of skirt crystally.

Shelly and Sabi. Can you see my skirt well in this photo?

Dasar emang Sabi sotoy maksimal haha. A life lesson I can take away from this experience : just believe in the tailors of Ratu Busana, insyaAllah they know the best for your desire ❤

I wish for the other members of Princess Jombs gang to follow Eta immediately. Kiss kiss!

Bandung : Roti Gempol, Malah Dicubo, Three Bears Cafe, the Kartipah Hotel

2 April 2016. I left my room to the travel pool at 6:30 am, it took me about 30 minutes by Uber, because I would be off to Bandung at 7:30 yeaaay~ It’s been almost 1.5 years since my last visit 😦

I reached Bandung at 10:30, il y a des embouteillages partout heftz. Then, I left the travel pool to the place where I would spend the night (The Kartipah Hotel @ Dago) by Uber. As I didn’t want to bring my luggage while I strolled around Bandung, therefore I put it in hotel reception desk. In addition to that, I cannot check-in to my room because it was 11 in the morning, whereas check-in time is 2 pm.

Hmmm did I tell you the reason of my current visit? It is because I would attend my high school friend’s wedding, who also lived in the same boarding house with me, on our college time in Bandung. Her name is Faradiani, I called her: Cece. Also, I loved to have such short term vacation in Bandung hehe. Cece would have her wedding @ The Kartipah Hotel, so that I would spend the night there, biar ga repot 😉

My first destination was Roti Gempol (behind Midori Japanese Restaurant). Believe it or not, this is my very first visit there haha *kemana aja Sab selama 4 tahun kemarin kuliah di Bandung*. I ordered roti bakar gandum komplit (toasted wheat bread, with cheese, omelette, and smoked beef filling yuuummm!) and addictea (thai tea flavored). I met my friends (who kuliah di fakultas yang sama tapi beda jurusan) there, they are Isnan, Pece, and Ade.

My second destination was Amanda Brownies @ Dago. I bought several boxes of steamed brownies there. Next, I returned to the hotel for check-in. Buuuut, I arrived at the hotel at 1:30 pm (30 minutes before check-in time) huhu. Thankfully, mas resepsionis was utterly kind, he allowed me to check-in when I got there, Alhamdulillah~

After finished take some photos, pray, etc, I got ready for the next destination woohooo~ I would meet Fika (she used to work at Pertamina UTC, just like I do currently. But, Fika’s already resigned, and now she takes master program @ ITB) , and our destination was RM Malah Dicubo @ Stasiun Bandung. I really really miss this place sooooo much 😦 I miss their cabe ijo, dendeng, ikan bilih, etc, my favorite dishes when I was younger haha. I could go there 3-4 times a week, meanwhile it’s location is pretty far from my boarding house @ Dago Asri…………….

dendeng ijo (dendeng nya saya nambah, padahal nasinya cuma 1, emang gabisa cuma makan 1x kalo kesini…..)

After that, we headed to Three Beras Cafe @ Paskal Hyper Square. This cafe is a new cafe in Bandung, I mean ehmm jaman saya masih jadi mahasiswa belum ada hehe. It has simple yet lovely interior, me like it! We just ordered dessert there, because we were already full, but we wanted to have a cozy place for chit chat ❤

Sabi et Fika

I returned to the hotel afterwards, I prayed, took a bath, prepared all the things for attending Cece’s wedding tomorrow, watched tv, had a nice chit-chat with Naes (my roommate for this trip). Naes was one of my ex-roommate (when we were in 3rd grade) in my boarding school life. Then, we went to bed at around 11 pm………..

3 April 2016. We woke up at around 5 am to pray subuh, then we slept again shortly after that 😀 Eventually, we got up at 8 (I love weekend so much). We took a bath, had breakfast, got dressed, applied make up, and finally we were ready kyaaa~ Before we headed to the venue of wedding reception, which is located just 1 minutes walking from our room, we checked-out at reception desk first.

my breakfast

I had breakfast in a semi-outdoor hall, which is situated adjacent to the fish pond and the joglo ❤

Naes, Cita, Messya, Sabi, Oli, Yara, Andaru, Bibil, Riken, Ira, Fikung, Nuri, Akhdan, Danny @ Cece’s wedding reception

The reception was ended at 2 pm. I headed to travel pool not longer after that, because I would be off to Jakarta at 3:30 (it is weekend and I’m in Bandung, hence there is heavy traffic jam everywhere hehe).

À bientôt, Bandung…..

Pekanbaru – Duri: Day 2 & Day 3

17 October 2015. We woke up pretty early in the morning, because we had to queue for take a bath and the girls must apply make up before we went to Yolan’s wedding reception kyaaa! But, before that, we had a brief chitchat at the living room, also we had bolu meranti (brought by Cukong, Chita’s boyfie, from Medan this morning) for breakfast, then we got acquainted with Kak Bembi and kak Rosa (Uda Usmar’s friends, they used to work in Dubai).

After we got ready, we went to Lancang Kuning Hall (Yolan’s wedding venue), which is located in Camp Chevron Duri.

Kak Rosa, Sabi, Chita were in front of the homestead

This camp is utterly enormous. We drove the wrong way~~ Alhamdulillah, finally we could reach Lancang Kuning Hall at around 11.30 am. When we arrived, the groom and the bride were yet to come and there were only a small number of people there, thus we could take pictures yeay!

my make-up, thanks Chit for capturing me :*

Eventually, the groom and the bride come! Yolan is totally gorgeous, I am very happy to see them 🙂

Having finished at the reception, we went back to the homestead. Can you guess what we did afterwards? Yessss, slept~ I got up when I heard Yolan’s voice. Was it a dream? In fact, it was not a dream, it was real haha. She already stands at the door, intended to take us to have dinner outside yippieee!

Uda Usmar, Hardang, Sabi, Mayang, Seba, Yolan @ Martabak Mesir

18 October 2015. We felt full and we headed back to the homestead. We had a short sleep and woke up around 1 am, because the door-to-door travel would pick us up at 2 am. We went directly to the Pekanbaru Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport (PKU), for the Lion Air flight to Jakarta at 08.25 am. Alhamdulillah, without delay…..

Because I did not have a time to stroll around Pekanbaru, therefore I bought souvenirs in this airport. They said it would be more pricey, buuuut I did not have any choice hehe. I purchased a box of very very delicious durian pancake ‘Megarasa’, very very good durian lempuk ‘Megarasa’ (I am not lying and I am not a fan of dodol and lempuk, buuuut I really love this one), and very very tasty bolu kemojo 😀

À bientôt!

Jogjakarta: Lia’s Wedding, Kalimilk, Ullen Sentalu Museum, Lava Tour Merapi, Sate Klathak Pak Pong

14 November 2015. Chita and I woke up, prayed subuh, took a bath, ironed our dresses, applied makeup, and eventually, we (Ronald, Wilsen, Chita, and I) were ready at around 7.45 am. We headed to Masjid Kampus UGM (Lia’s wedding venue) from Greenhost Prawirotaman (our hotel) by a rental car. We did not know how to get there, hence we just relied on Waze and Google Maps. We arrived at approximately 8.30, a little too late, but we still had chance to see Lia’s solemnization kyaaaa!

Shortly after that, wedding reception was started. After we gave congratulation to Lia and her husband at the aisle, we ate hehe. I was completely peckish, as we did not have time to have breakfast that morning….. Then, we took a lot of photos there. Unfortunately, Jogja was so damn hot 😦

After the reception, we changed up to casual looks because we would stroll and explore Jogja yeaaay! Thankfully, some of our friends stayed in Wisma Kagama, which is located just a stone’s throw from Lia’s wedding venue. Therefore, we could go there to remove our makeup, pray, also change our clothes.

Then, we went to Kalimilk. We just ordered various types of milk there (I mean we do not have any meal), as we were still full…. In my opinion, my cookies milk tastes good, despite the fact that I can have such kind of milk in Jakarta or Tangerang haha. But, it’s okay, since they said that this place are really happening currently in Jogja 🙂

@ Kalimilk

Next, we headed to so far away Ullen Sentalu Museum. We paid 30K/person for entrance fee, then we went around the museum with our friendly tour guide. Sadly, we can only take photos in some particular places. The thing is, all goods in the museum were someone’s personal collections…..

the ticket

@ Museum Ullen Sentalu

Our following destination was Lava Tour Merapi. To do such kind of tour, we had to ride jeeps with seating for 1 driver and 4 passengers. We chose 500K package/jeep for 2 spots: batu alihan (batu alien) and ‘Sisa Hartaku’ Museum.

The most exciting part of this activity is the off-road adventure. Moreover, the driver in the jeep I was in was totally ………… *speechless* my long sleeve t-shirt and my jeans get wet, also my head’s spinning like a carousel, nevertheless it was sooooo utterly fun!

we’re ready for the off-road

yeayness overload~

Then, we headed to sate klathak Pak Pong for dinner. We were really hungry and unfortunately, traffic jam is everywhere on Saturday night……

sate klathak

IMHO, such sate klathak is tasty, it tasted almost similar to kambing bakar cairo. Buuuut, kambing bakar cairo is much more delicious haha.

Yap, this was the end of our journey today. Next, we went back to the hotel, and slept. Tchao!

Tokyo Belly, HokBen Stasiun Gambir, Medi’s Wedding @ Gedung BULOG

1. Tokyo Belly et Tom Tom (Grand Indonesia)

4 Januari 2015. Kemudian, Aishow datang menyusul. Di Tokyo Belly saya memesan Ramen Tokyo Belly Classic, Kiki memesan semacam curry, dan Putri pesan apa ya Put? Lupa hehe. Sementara Aishow hanya ngeliatin kami makan, karena Aishow sedang puasa 😀

Aishow, Kiki, Sabi, Putri @ Tokyo Belly

@ Tom Tom

Ngobrol panjang lebar sampe ga kerasa ternyata udah hampir jam 9. Sebelum berpisah, selfie dulu, akibat ketidapuasan foto yang diambil sama mbak dan mas waitress selalu blur hiks.

Aishow, Kiki, Putri, Sabi, Sekar. A tout a l’heure a tous!

2. Hoka-Hoka Bento (Stasiun Gambir)

12 Januari 2015.

Ahmad, Daus, Ucup, Sabi, Sekar, Fusi

Bon, sekian. xoxo
