Love (part 2)

Continue the story from the previous post, in this post, I will tell you some stories when we were together for around 4-5 days during his 2-weeks-off on May.

Our first rendezvous after about 2 months of LDR (Long Distance Relationship) is an after-office-hours-movie-date on 12 May 2017 @ Senayan City! We watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 which had already released since April hehe. Finallyyy, we met again, I’m sooooo happy!!!! Before we got into the cinema, we had early dinner @ Bakerzin (on Lower Ground), since I was already hungry because I only had bubur sumsum for lunch.

 

14 May 2017, we met @ Gambir Station at around 8 am to rode Argo Parahyangan Train to Bandung at 8:45. When we reached Bandung, we had lunch @ Sop Buntut Dahapati (on Jalan Cipaganti No.146), because he was a bit ill after yesterday futsal tournament……..

After had prayed Maghrib, we stopped by @ Kedai Ling-Ling (on Jalan Sukajadi No. 157, near Paris van Java). Then, we strolled around PVJ (Paris van Java) for a while before we went back to the room.

We were hungry before bed huhu, so that I ordered yangzhou fried rice, while he picked chicken noodle with meatballs @ Yami-Yami Noodle House (on Setrasari Mall) via GoFood 😀

15 May 2017, he wanted to have Bubur Ayam Serbu Rame (on Jalan Cisitu Lama, near Cisitu Baru) for his breakfast hehe, therefore we headed there after we took a bath and got ready.

Next, we strolled around the campus of ITB for a while, and headed to the Lodge Maribaya not longer after. Had finished @ the Lodge Maribaya at around 3 pm, we had late lunch @ Steak Hotel by Holycow! TKP Bandung 2 (on Jalan Cipaganti No.150).

In the night, we went to Cihampelas Walk, Teras Cihampelas, and had dinner @ Kambing Bakar Cairo (on Jalan Cihampelas No.123).

 

16 May 2017, I wanted to have Nasi Kuning SSC (on Jalan Sumur Bandung) for breakfast, hence we headed there after checked out.

Then, we went to Bandung Makuta (on Jl. Van Deventer No.2), a very happening gift shop in Bandung nowadays. We arrived there at around 9.30 am, and all I can see is a long queue weeew~ their product sold out quickly. But eventually, I can bring home makuta caramel and makuta extra cheese, Alhamdulillah!

Next, we ate again 😀 we decided to have his favorite meal : meatballs! Luckily, Bakso So’un & Mie Ayam Lodaya (on Jalan Veteran No.3) is situated across the Bandung Makuta, so that we went there afterwards.

I returned to Jakarta by Argo Parahyangan Train at 4:10 pm, thus we walked to Blackbone Coffee (on Jalan Panaitan No.22) to have lemonade and mojito (not coffee obviously hehe) and sat inside to kill time until around 3 pm. After I had boarded the train, he went to bus station to go home.

23 May 2017. He was in Jakarta, as tomorrow he will return to the sites again. After office hours, we had dinner @ Kawasan Kuliner BSM (on Jalan M.H. Thamrin No.7) along with some of his friends at his former office. The last but not the least, on 24 May 2017, I accompanied him to the airport……

It’s been almost a month since the last time I saw him, can’t wait to see him again next month ❤

 

Anomali Coffee, Menteng

28 March 2017, 12 pmAfter having ice cream with much chit-chat and laughter @ Gelato Secrets, ShopHaus Menteng, Winda and I decided to having lunch @ Anomali Coffee Menteng (on Jl. Teuku Cik Ditiro No. 52, Menteng, Jakarta), which is located next to Jakarta Eye Center, or only a few meters away from ShopHaus Menteng.

It was my second visit, in fact. Despite I am not a coffee lover, I still love to come to Anomali Coffee Menteng, because it is snug ❤ As well as me, Winda is not a fan of coffee. Therefore, both of us didn’t order any cup of coffee at the time.

Then for the lunch, Winda picked spinach cordon bleu (c’est bon!), while I chose banana fritter. Why banana fritter? Because on my first visit, a friend of mine ordered it, I tasted his dish, and I like it! Buuuut, when I had the dish on my own, I think it didn’t taste as delicious as my first try haha. Indeed, rumput tetangga selalu lebih hijau 😀

If you are a pasta lover, you should try their carbonara, c’est bon aussi! The aglio e olio tuna is not bad, however it is not spicy enough for me, I had to add a lot of chili powder and chili sauce on my plate.

Gelato Secrets, ShopHaus Menteng

28 March 2017 was a national holiday in my country (Nyepi), hence Winda and I planned a rendezvous at 10 am. Because at the time we were not hungry yet, we decided having ice cream @ Gelato Secrets, ShopHaus Menteng (on Jl. Teuku Cik Ditiro No.36, Menteng, Jakarta).

ShopHaus Menteng itself is a happening collaborative space, where we can find a number of shops (Gelato Secrets, Pigeonhole Coffee, Berrywell, Mockingbird, and Namelaka Patisserie) in one place at the same time.

The first Gelato Secrets shop is in Ubud, Bali. If you reach ShopHaus Menteng, you will see Gelato Secrets shop directly. It is situated in the front side of ShopHaus Menteng. The shop is not really spacious, but they have indoor and outdoor area, though.

Gelato Secrets offered us a selection of (around) 20s flavours of gelato and sorbet, which made us confuse to decide. Eventually, I picked a cup of Ferrero Rocher, Cheese Cake, and Rose Petals ice cream; while Winda chose a cup of Bamboo Charchoal, Strawberry, and Chocolate ice cream. Behind Gelato Secrets, you can find Pigeonhole Coffee shop.

If you prefer to eat your ice cream in a cone, Gelato Secrets make their own cones, thus you will have fresh waffle cones 😀 moreover, they also provide waffle, milkshake, and fruitshake.

Kerang Kiloan Pak Rudi, Blok M – Jakarta

1 March 2017. I tried to taste the food place which was very happening in 2014, Kerang Kiloan Pak Rudi (on Jl. Patiunus No.9, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta), with Shelly, a friend of mine in the office. The stall is situated at a kind of food court in residential area, along with other food carts selling dim sum, beverages, etc.

Some preferences you can pick (as listed on the menu) :
kerang (clams) : kampak, kapa, tiram, hijau, bulu, bambu, dara, madu, salju, batik, simping. When I was there, I thought they only had 5 or 6 types of clams probably.
sauce : mushroom, padang, nanas asam manis (sweet & sour), tiram (oyster), matah (Balinese style raw sambal), lada merah (cayenne pepper), kacang (peanut), lada ijo (green pepper), barbeque, cheesy cream, garlic butter, Pak Rudi. Some of them are free, and you can ask the waitress to refill your chili saucer without charge.

You should order minimum 1 kilo of clams, except for the bambu, they will give you 1/2 kilo. You can also have rice or french fries, and they have 2 kinds of clams recipe on the menu : spicy garlic and salty butter. At the time, Shelly and I chose 2 kilos of fried kerang hijau and 1/2 kilo of boiled kerang bambu, along with oyster sauce, peanut sauce, and Pak Rudi’s sauce. The waitress said that fried kerang hijau and Pak Rudi’s sauce are the most favorites among others.

Our dishes look different from any other clams dishes which I had in the past, they came in the two aluminium basins. The waitress also gave us an empty basin for the clamshells. In my opinion, fried kerang hijau and peanut sauce tasted delicious, on the contrary, I didn’t really like the boiled kerang bambu, oyster sauce, and Pak Rudi’s sauce. Pak Rudi’s sauce is spicy enough for me, but I didn’t think that it is right to accompany our clams dishes.

Cacaoté, Senopati

16 February 2017Cacaoté is a cake shop & restaurant, which is situated on Jl. Senopati Raya No.80, Jakarta. Shelly and I are satiated after had dinner @ The Holy Crab, but we still visited Cacaoté afterwards to have dessert and obviously take some pretty pictures in such beautiful restaurant 😀

The exterior of Cacaoté looks like an elegant castle, and the interior is absolutely gorgeous, feminine, and dominated by floral print and white-gold-pink-colors with chandeliers hanging on the ceiling.

When we stepped in, we were welcomed with their appetizing cakes selections. It’s quite hard for us to decide what we want for dessert since almost all the cakes looked so cute and delicious.

Eventually, I picked mango cake with coconut filling perhaps (OMG I didn’t know the composition of the cake haha), while Shelly had two flavours of macarons. All I know is my cake tasted really good, I will definitely come back for the other variants :9

ZENBU House of Mozaru, Plaza Indonesia

 28 October 2016. To celebrate her 24th birthday, Winda invited us (Rifki, Shelly, Mba Hana, Ndai, and me) to have dinner together @ ZENBU House of Mozaru.

ZENBU is situated on the fifth floor of Plaza Indonesia. Such place is a little bit hidden but it is a great place to come. The restaurant is spacious and divided into 2 areas : the first one is situated near the window, so that some of the guests can watch the scenery through the windows; while another area lies across the first one. Both of them are separated by a public alley which can be walked by all visitors of the mall. ZENBU Plaza Indonesia has good ambience, hence we felt comfortable to have a long chit-chat there.

This restaurant incorporates Western flavors into Japanese menu. Their signature dish is mozaru. Mozaru is :
– baked rice (curry rice / butter rice) / spaghetti
– with 10 choices of toppings : mushroom, chicken, beef, burger, gindara, seafood, salmon, zenbu, scallop, dan unagi
– and 3 choices of sauces tomato / butter / dynamite (sweet & spicy sauce)
– the last but not the least is mozzarella on the top.
At the moment, I ordered regular size of spaghetti with seafood topping and butter sauce, also orange juice. Additionally, the six of us shared salmon skin roll.

I love my dish so much :9 Even though, the portion size is quite small hehe, but it glutted. Our sushi tasted good, but Sushi Tei is still da best 😀 Thank you so muuuuch Winda ❤ Oyaa we reciprocated by giving Winda a delightful gift at the time :3
